It's Not Raining (AKA Weeding)

Yep, it has been a while since you last heard from us. We have a good excuse. We swear. You haven't heard from or seen us lately because we are weeding. Pretty much if it's not raining then we are weeding the garden and orchard. In the words of Head and Shoulders, "Rinse and repeat". This rain has created a perpetual motion machine. Weed, rain, germination, weed... Ahh, you get the point. On the bright side, we have had couple warmer days and the plants are responding well. We will soon have beans, peas, zucchini and cucumbers. The radishes continue to produce at a fantastic pace. So well in fact, that we are having to find new ways to prepare them from turkey bacon wrapped and roasted to pan seared and served in a butter sauce over fettuccine. They have produced so well, and the cooked results have been so awesome that we planted round two. This year we tried something new, Pak Choi! Which has loved the recent humid and wet weather. Soy sauce, red pepper, pan fried and eat. It is so good.
