An Irrigation System? Seriously?

We know, we know, it's been raining. non-stop. Why on earth do we need an irrigation system? Well, to be honest, this year is all about the infrastructure projects. After-all, we're coming out of a cloudless growing season last year. Think of this a preventative measure. For the future. When the sun does show its face. If, the sun shows its face.

We've installed a series of switches, hoses and junctions that allow us to water individual garden rows or just water a specific box. The system works by dividing the house line into four sub-lines. Each sub-line runs to a row in our garden. The garden is a grid based system of 4 rows by 3 columns. Each box has a switch controlling the flow of water. Once a row is enabled from the main switch, each box can be turned on and off allowing us to place water only where water is needed.
