A green and yellow basket. We had a great holiday season spending most of December visiting family and friends. Oh, and eating. The food, my goodness. Everything from artichoke french to our traditional standing rib roast. Holiday foods are great for the soul, but not so great for the health. Daily calorie intake read like a Yahoo! stock ticker circa 2000, up and up and up. What? Too soon?As the snow builds up on the ground, covering last year's efforts, it is easy to forget spring is around the corner. It reminds us of Robert Frost's words, "Here loveless birds now flock as winter friends,\Content with bud-inspecting. They presume\To say which buds are leaf and which are bloom." * Or how the winter beast chews on a young apple tree's tender bark. It's a bittersweet way to look at the winter. Though, on these cold days, we prefer to look through a window; fireplace raging, cup of hot chocolate and fleece blanket.

Which brings us back to our point; forgetting about spring. This year we got some wonderfully thoughtful gifts. This latest one peaked our excitement level for the new gardening season. Megan creatively painted these harvest boxes for us. They're Amazing! Forget about winter, we cannot wait for spring.
